Customer Reviews about Snapfinger Woods Pediatrics

  • I came on here to do a review as I was disappointed at the negative reviews. I cannot remember ever having an issue....maybe because I've been coming here so long, I view this office as family. This practice saw me when I was an infant and over 30 years later they see my daughter. I love Dr Treywick and the nurse practitioner. I always recommend parents to them.

  • My son has been a patient at this practice since he was born in 2007. He is my first and only child so I researched many different pediatricians while I was pregnant and finally decided on this office. I toured the facility while I was pregnant and the staff was very warm and inviting. His primary care physician, Dr. Weselman, came all the way to Northside hospital the day after I gave birth for the initial check up and this really impressed me. Each time we go in for a check up, I can really see that he loves what he does. I never feel like my child is just another "piece of a paycheck on an assembly line". In addition, the nurse, Mrs. Cynthia, is amazing. My son loves her too. The facility is a bit dated, but the staff is very knowledgeable and they get the job done. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you Snapfinger Woods Pediatrics for 7+ years of excellent service. Keep up the great work!

If I would give this place zero stars if I could. A neighbor told me she heard good things about this practice and I planned to check them out on the day my baby decided she was ready for the world. I was impressed with information and services available on their website and decided to take a chance with them especially because they would have a Pediatrician come to the hospital to have the most compete records from my child's birth. The doctor who came was pleasant enough and thorough with details of her assessment of my daughter but I was a little put off when I asked about recommendations concerning formula and her first response was to ask me if I qualified for WIC. Now, I never mentioned having an issue paying for formula just asked for a suggestion on brands as I planned to breastfeed strictly but was not producing enough milk at the time. I played dumb and said I didn't know what WIC is so she brushed over and proceeded to answer my question. On the day of my very first visit to the office, my initial observation was at how old and dated the place is. Not much has been put into upgrading anything in this practice. I went up to the counter and signed in. The receptionist saw me but continued a conversation with the operator about her glasses and contacts. When she was done and ready to acknowledge me, she was very rude and condescending and when confronted, she smirked and she told me that was how just how she talked. The most pleasant member of staff we encountered was the Nurse Practitioner who weighed my baby and set things up for the doctor to come in. While we were attending to the baby who had just been brought back in after being weighed, the doctor came in and took a seat behind us not bothering to greet or introduce himself. He was rough with my one week old who cried most of the visit, by way of example, he pushed the tongue depressor so far down her throat she gagged and he told us we should be cleaning her umbilical chord site at least 3 times a day with alcohol so it can dry out and was tugging at it so he could wipe the base with an alcohol soaked pad, which is contrary to advice given by the hospital staff who said leave it alone and it will fall off. I reported the receptionist behavior and was told she was new yet when I checked out the Google reviews I see complaints months old. I just cannot fathom how this practice is operating with such horrible customer service. I strongly recommend checking this place out in advance before you take your child in.
